Siobhann   (Irish pronunciation: [ʃəˈvˠaːn̪ˠ] or "Shi-vaun"), is a feminine Irish name.

I'm a San Francisco native with East Coast roots and a far flung social network.  I have wandering feet and am happiest in motion.  I probably want to know what you're eating...

After many years working in technology (preceded by work as an arts educator, a bike messenger dispatcher and on an assembly line making tiny clay vegetables) I quit my job and moved to Spain.  I loved living in a different culture but while there, I realized that I wanted to work internationally as well.  Wanting to dive in, I returned home and started at volunteering at my local Red Cross Chapter.  Before long, I was working for a local organization to strengthen communities, nonprofits and collaborate with government agencies to make SF safer and stronger.  This year, I built on my disaster preparedness training and traveled to Rio to learn about how climate change is affecting our planet and what important steps we can take to make positive changes.

When not making myself useful, I put cheese on bread, make stuff, and travel as much as possible.  I'm interested in sharing what I learn with communities around the world!
